The Armed Forces of Valoria (French: forces armées de la valorie) are the collective military forces of Valoria. They consist of five branches: the Navy, Army, Air Force, Amphibious Corps, and Auxiliary Forces.
The president of Valoria is Commander of the Armed Forces, holding plenary command and operational authority over the entire military. The day-to-day management of the armed forces is ran by the Department of Defense with advice from the Assembled Chiefs of Staff and Assembled Commands, and national defense policy is typically formed by both the Departments of Defense and National Security.
Since their beginnings in 1756, the armed forces of Valoria have historically always been considered one of the strongest in the world. The Valorian military is renowned for its rigorous training and exceptional technological advancement, considered to own and develop the finest military weaponry and technology on Earth. The navy and air force are especially distinguished, regarded as unrivaled in quality.
Since their inception, the armed forces have been the subject of multiple controversies. They have repeatedly faced criticisms of unnecessary brutality and violation of Geneva Conventions during wartime, as well as being accused of secretly developing and owning an array illegal weaponry and technology.

Structure[edit | edit source]
Main article: Structure of the Armed Forces of Valoria
The Armed Forces are divided into five branches. In official order of precedence, these are: the Navy, the Army, the Air Force, the Amphibious Corps, and the Auxiliary Forces. These branches are distinct, each with their own leadership, however are practically always deployed alongside one another.
The entire Armed Forces are led by the Commander, whose authority is currently vested in the president. As such, the president exercises supreme command and operational authority over the entirety of the Armed Forces. On a day-to-day basis, the president delegates these powers to the secretary of defense. Historically, the authority of Commander was exercised by the prime minister, or, during the monarchy, the sovereign.
The seniormost military rank is the Commanding General of the Armed Forces, a five-star ranked general who serves as the principal advisor to the president and secretary of defense. The Commanding General chairs both the Assembled Chiefs of Staff and the Assembled Commands, the two seniormost bodies of the armed forces. The Assembled Chiefs of Staff exercise operational authority over the military, ensuring the everyday functioning of the five branches, while the Assembled Commands exercise command authority, tasked with directing troops within broad geographic areas.

The Armed Forces of Valoria have historically been compared with those of the United States, and debate has long existed over which country has the superior military. Although Valoria is generally agreed to hold the technological advantage, the United States is far larger numerically. An ongoing debate exists surrounding which country would come out on top in total war between the two countries.
