Brianna Dougherty Michaels (born April 5th, 1971) is a Valorian politician who has served as Premier of Vermont since 2021. Michaels was a candidate for deputy in the 2024 prime ministerial election.
A progressive, Michaels made national headlines when she defeated James Barlow in Vermont's premiership race, becoming the first Movement politician to win the race since 1989.
Because the premiership of Vermont is a ceremonial one, and because of the attention and publicity that her victory in 2021 garnered, Michaels is seen as a rising star in the Movement. She ran for deputy in 2024 as Alphonso Cavazos' running mate, however eventually lost the race to to Kate Oliver.
